Corrpro is seeking a dynamic Drill Rig Operator to add to the Corrosion Protection business function in Houston, Texas.  The Drill Rig Operator is responsible for operating the drill rig as required for site specific projects. 


Corrpro, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.   • Comply with all company policies, regulatory safety regulations, and code requirements.
  • Operate drill rig to meet job specifications and customer requirements.
  • Notify construction manager of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives.
  • Restore jobsite to conditions found prior to beginning work.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times.
  • Report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to construction manager.
  • Repair damaged equipment as directed by the construction manager.
  • Document and record IFTA mileage reports for monthly tax payments by the company.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a CDL driver’s rating.
  • Maintain continuous and profitable working relationships with customers.
  • Participate in weekly toolbox safety meetings and document equipment safety inspection audits.
  • Attend company-sponsored safety training seminars and educational programs.
  • Document deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the construction foreman.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Note: This job includes significant overnight travel.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking required throughout the day. 
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting are required.
  • Occasional climbing required. 
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. 
  • Frequent shoveling is required. 
  • Frequent driving is required.
