The Engineer III – Pipeline Integrity plans and performs more complex engineering duties supporting assigned project. Reviews preliminary data, discusses objectives and expectations and suggests appropriate engineering methods and procedures. Tasks include collecting field data, processing and evaluating field and other data, performing engineering studies and designs, producing engineering reports, and supporting clients, fellow personnel and others.

Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related degree. EIT preferred. NACE level III certification or better preferred. Minimum of 5-8 years professional experience. Required Operator qualifications. Must have strong project management and problem solving skills. Strong team and internal customer service skills are a must. Incumbent must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently. Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position.
Possesses and applies comprehensive engineering knowledge of engineering principles to the completion of complex assignments.
Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required.
