Corrpro Canada is looking for a Temporary Electronic Repair Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta.

Corrpro Canada has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any type of cathodic protection system for any type of structure.

Responsibilities

This is a versatile role supporting all areas within the Corrpower Rectifier manufacturing division focusing on the Electronic Equipment portion. Testing Electrical (Transformers, Power Supplies and Battery Chargers) and Electronic (Analog and digital circuits) product lines as well as repairing a variety of equipment, this role is integral to our manufacturing operations. This position supports the operation throughout the value chain, from providing cost estimates (quotations) to final test of our products. The individual in this role will develop a keen understanding of our product lines.

 

  • Test and Repair all product lines from printed circuit assemblies to finished Power Supplies and Battery Chargers.
  • Testing of single and three phase transformers.
  • Work with stock and procurement personnel to ensure part requirements are fulfilled based on identified fault / failure mode.
  • Provide Technical Assistance for all Internal and External customers as required.
  • Support the Test Room as well as aid the R&D team when required for future product developments.
  • Confirmation of accuracy of Specification / Parts Listings, Operation Manuals and electrical schematics.
  • Perform electrical, hi-pot and mechanical testing of cathodic rectifiers.
  • Completion of rectifier and transformer testing forms.
  • Assist with quality assurance checks on transformers, rectifiers and other products and updating ISO documentation
  • Provide time and cost estimates on repair of Power Supplies and other electronic equipment.
  • Assist in the development of Specification / Parts Listing, Bill of Materials, electrical schematics and/or mechanical drawings for Power Supplies, Battery Chargers and Transformers.
  • Ensure all company safety requirements are followed.
  • Test report generation, repair backlog tracking and other reports as necessary

Qualifications

  • Electronic or Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent years of working experience
  • Familiarization with electrical schematics and components listed on the Bill of Materials
  • 2-5 years of hands on Electronics or Electrical experience
  • Excellent Soldering  and PCB repair techniques is essential
