  • Responsible for Bid/Quote Preparation and submission utilizing SQ module in JDE and/or Excel to process quotes for customers.   Specific bids/quotes to be approved before submission. Ensure material costing, mark-ups, are formatted similarly for ease of future reference.
  • Contact for both internal and external customers for product questions and recommendations.
  • Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external customers concerning product status.
  • Maintain orders from order entry including setting up customer bill to, ship to, and part numbers until orders are shipped and invoiced.
  • Assist A/R in collections, problem resolution and maintain knowledge of customers credit worthiness.
  • Address customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Manage Customer backlog by reviewing open order reports to ensure customer orders are fulfilled to customer request dates. Back orders are managed to ensure customer orders are completed as timely as possible. Review and update specific reports as required.
  • Participate and remain current on company’s products and services.
  • Ensure all documentation is provided to customers as required (ex: MTR’s, Chemical Analysis, Testing Reports).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Enter quotes and orders, and maintain CRM in ACES.
  • Performing various JD Edwards related functions:  Order Status, generate various reports from ERP system (JDE). Example: Open Order report, Invoicing reports.
  • Ensuring all invoicing, order processing requirements are completed timely. Print reports and match to current period invoicing.
  • Prepare documentation as required for customer approvals (submittals).


  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 years of general office experience
  • Must have data entry experience using large volume customer database, J.D. Edwards Oracle based system experience preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
  • Must have extensive experience using Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JDE and Lotus Notes
  • Must have a strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to adjust to work-related demands and overcome unexpected obstacles
