Schultz Industrial is looking for an experienced Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with client personnel and other contractors to coordinate execution of work
  • Responsible to facilitate execution with proper permitting as required
  • Responsible for project cost and schedule control, including updating job schedules with accurate progress and forecast information as required
  • Assist in developing resource, time and material estimates to support change management requirements
  • Responsible for insuring project safety including compliance with company policy and procedure, field safety audits, and demonststrting safety leadership.
  • Responsible for QA / QC administrative compliance
  • Assists in developing solutions to complex constructability challenges
  • Hires temporary personnel as required to meet work load demands
  • Oversees the administrative needs of direct report personnel
  • Responsible to approve timesheet labor, equipment and material costs as required
  • Establishes processes to orientate all new personnel relative to:
  • Safety / Hazard Analysis 
  • Process safety awareness
  • Unit safety and awareness
  • Responsible to administer subcontract relationships as needed

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of Project Management, Project Controls and/or Project Engineering experience within the petrochemical industry. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering related field is preferred.
  • Ability to plan job tasks to support project execution
  • Proven ability to manage and execute projects of varying size and complexity
  • Practical understanding of construction techniques, terms and processes relative to petrochemical, power and industrial projects
  • Practical background in QA/QC process and procedures relative to petrochemical, power and industrial projects
  • Ability to comprehend and apply technical drawings, design documents, specifications and procedures
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt management focus and resources to changing needs and
  • priorities
  • Practical knowledge of construction equipment and construction processes
  • Practical knowledge of refinery process systems and hazards
  • Working knowledge of project controls functions including scope development, estimating, scheduling, cost reporting, forecasting and change management
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
