Backed by over 40 years of expertise and the latest manufacturing techniques, MTC has a reputation for providing CIPP that is constructed for optimal installation and long-term performance. 

 

The Business Development Manager is a business leader, responsible for helping to grow MTC sales within a defined area and/or particular product offering in the Infrastructure Solutions group.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Identify, develop and close sales opportunities in support of MTC strategic plan and to achieve business unit revenue and profit objectives for CIPP product sales
  • Conduct telephone and in-person sales calls with existing customers and prospects to maintain favorable business relationships with key accounts; qualify leads for subsequent opportunities using Company’s CRM tool (ACES)
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of MTC products and services; help get MTC technical specifications included in municipal bid documents when necessary
  • Prepare quotes and set pricing based on established pricelists and guidance from supervisor
  • Assist customers with product design services, product submittals, operational data and technical questions; ensure prompt investigation of client concerns and provide problem resolutions or referral to appropriate MTC/Aegion personnel
  • Generate market intelligence for capture in company’s CRM and perform analysis of competitor products, services and pricing.
  • Route customer orders and wet out requests to customer service upon receipt as necessary
  • Review MTC aging reports and assist with A/R collections when necessary
  • Represent MTC in industry relevant organizations and at trade shows
  • Provide input into the development of future business plans, marketing communications and product portfolio
  • Remain current on sales performance and provide sales reports as required; provide ongoing status reports to detail sales activity to include sales forecast and recent sales wins 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering or construction management
  • Minimum of 3 years related sales experience with demonstrated success and/or CIPP product knowledge; prior sales and product installation work in the trenchless rehabilitation and structural strengthening industry is highly REQUIRED
  • Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills, be able to take initiative and be disciplined to work independently while being managed remotely
  • Must be comfortable in a sales role – i.e. meeting sales activity expectations and performance objectives and a genuine interest in serving the client
  • Competitive and achievement-oriented; self-motivated and a self-starter; can work independently within a structure and manage time wisely; good listener and able to process complex information and unique client needs quickly
  • Travel by automobile and airplane required up to 75%
