 Insituform Technologies, LLC is looking for experienced Logistic, Coating & Felting Manager.


Insituform Technologies, LLC, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. This role will manage the Logistics, Coating and Felting Departments, reproting to the Plant Manager. Supervising 19-25 employees. 


  • Ensure production within the manufacturing operation is cost effective and productive.
  • Establish or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process controls and best practices.
  • Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective production organization.
  • Work with Co-Workers and Leads to ensure that the company’s safety guidelines are followed. Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
  • Review and provide coaching on the performance of subordinates.
  • Ensure all products produced met quality standards.
  • Maintain production records and product period reports as required.
  • Required to administer discipline, up to and including discharge.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Report all defective and malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance manager and work with the maintenance manager to schedule production around routine or special maintenance projects.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department.
  • Analyze and resolve work related problems, or assist workers in solving work related problems.
  • Maintain time and production records through DSI.
  • Works with outside vendors for qualification for transportation needs.
  • Oversees Logistics and activities of the Shipping Clerk.
  • Communicates Over the Hole freight cost to potential customers
  • Maintains JDE freight accounts for accuracy.




  • Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.
  • Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position.
  • Required to work with all Management employees.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, presentations and JDE.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications in Excel and Word. 
  • Ability to learn new applications Microsoft Office skills such as  Power Point is required.


Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and taste or smell
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to  50 pounds). 
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability for extended concentration.
  • The employee will generally work in an office type environment but will occasionally be required to work in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations).
  • Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Travel by automobile and airplane required.
