    Aegion’s IT organization includes a team of exceptionally talented individuals responsible for supporting Aegion’s growing global businesses. The IT organization is team-oriented and forward thinking with multiple opportunities to develop an array of new business capabilities and technological skills.


    • Responsible for researching, designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of the business, while ensuring the best experience for the user.
    • Responsible for the on-going support of the current SharePoint environment. Act as a "go-to" person for SharePoint problem solving and troubleshooting.
    • Establishes and aligns a strategic and a technical roadmap for Aegion’s Enterprise Content Management and SharePoint platform
    • Designs, develops, and implements the following; branding, forms, workflow, dashboards, reports, output documents, and integration with fundamental systems at Aegion (CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence, HCM).
    • Responsible for the storage structure and meta data design to facilitate practical enterprise reporting and search capabilities.
    • Leads the integration of SharePoint with other systems to enable and streamline business processes.
    • Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with business units, and develops a deep understanding of their enterprise content management and SharePoint application requirements.
    • Manages and executes effectively through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Responsible for architecture, design, development, testing, rollout, and post-rollout support. 
    • Must be able to comfortably facilitate group discussions for business requirements definition, As-Is and To-Be application/process design, and gap resolution.
    • Coordinates development and support with third party suppliers/vendors.
    • Provides sound technical solutions to meet user requirements
    • Troubleshoots and demonstrates problem solving skills
    • Escalates issues in a timely and appropriate manner
    • Communicates project status, issues and resolutions with appropriate customers
    • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and adopts suitable concepts for the organization


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (Master’s Degree or Microsoft Certifications are a plus)
    • 5+ years of experience with developing SharePoint (2010+) Designer, SharePoint App/Object Model, InfoPath Designer, web parts and SharePoint custom workflows.
    • 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration technologies (preferably Microsoft SharePoint/K2)
    • Expert level skills with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online (configuring and developing).
    • Proficient with SharePoint Central Administration
    • Experience with the integration of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 with Microsoft Office preferred
    • Experience (preferred) with the use of third party workflow systems (e.g. K2 Blackpearl or K2 Appit).
    • A solid understanding of IS methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, ITIL, PMLC and QA/Test
    • Proficient at creating custom SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online web parts
    • Experience in the design, development and implementation of forms, output documents, dashboards, and reports.
    • Experience in metadata and storage structure design which enables effective and practical searching and reporting capabilities.
    • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, and coaching others to embrace change
    • Excellent attention to detail, and a great team player that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • The ability to work with limited supervision.
