    Aegion Corporation is looking for a Temporary Recruitment Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta for 12-14 months on a maternity leave coverage. This role supports two of Aegion's businesses: Corrpro Companies and United Pipeline Systems.


    As a Recruiter with Aegion, you will be responsible for securing the talent required to be the industry leaders in Corrosion Prevention and Cathodic protection.     In the role of Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for:

    • Providing world class recruitment services for Corrpro Canada and United Pipeline Systems
    • Partnering with the Human Resources team and business leaders to understand business priorities and staffing needs
    • Advising and coaching hiring managers on the recruitment process and best practices for sourcing top talent
    • Thoroughly assessing needs and updating job descriptions as required
    • Targeting top talent for all vacancies using traditional and innovative recruiting strategies
    • Managing requisitions in our applicant tracking system (ATS), seeking out required approvals and updating candidate activity throughout the recruitment process
    • Strategically advertising positions through targeted mediums including, but not limited to: job sites, print media, social media, recruitment events / career fairs and promotion to current employees
    • Sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens and in-person interviews to find the best candidates
    • Attending job fairs and other recruiting functions as required
    • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with hiring managers, vendors, community organizations and staffing agencies to create  partnerships that yield success, predictable results and credibility
    • Developing an effective pipeline and pool of on hand talent potentially available for immediate hire as workforce planning and succession planning needs dictate this sentence needs work
    • Staying informed on trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices
    • Infrequent travel throughout Canada as required


    • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field
    • 2+ years of recruiting experience required
    • Bilingual language skills (French/English) would be an asset
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with an applicant tracking system is preferred
    • Experience recruiting engineers, technologists, trades and labourers in an Oil & Gas, Construction or Manufacturing setting is preferred
    • Experience with social media recruitment preferred
    • RPR and/or other recruitment designations preferred

    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
