    Aegion Coating Services is looking for an experienced Field Coatings Technicians for Offhshore.


    Aegion Coating Services, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is an International industry leader that delivers proprietary internal and external field joint coating services using CRTS patented robotics systems for new pipeline construction projects. Our offices are located in North America, the Middle East and United Kingdom with projects worldwide.


    The Field Coatings Technician IV will operate, troubleshoot, service and maintain all electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems during field service work assignments, assure safe and proper use of equipment and satisfactory completion of the job and prepare reports in accordance with established quality control procedures. As well as supervision of other technicians and coordination with client and maintaining customer relationships while on the job site


    The Field Coatings Technician IV reports to the Operations Manager or Project Manager, Field Services


    • Operate and monitor robotic equipment and production systems
    • Troubleshoot issues
    • Dismantle device to remove, repair or replace defective parts
    • Lubricate, clean and test devices to maintain performance
    • Utilize multi-meter to test fuses, power, ohms current and motors
    • Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities on projects sites; prepare project reports, work with customers, and supervise other field technicians onsite
    • Oversee job site operations to ensure adherence to procedures
    • Operations to ensure adherence to procedures

    • Minimum of five (5) years equipment generation experience in related field and supervision of other employees.
    • Technical courses or degree in Electronics, Aeronautics, Automotive, Mechatronics or Mechanical Technologies preferred
    • Mechanical operation, troubleshooting and repair experience
    • Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and Liquid coating experience
    • NACE CIP I certification required; NACE CIP II certification preferred
    • Onshore and offshore work experience required
    • Internal Diameter (ID) and Outer Diameter (OD) coating experience
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Have or ability to obtain passport
    • Travel internationally or domestically to support our oil, gas, mining or utility industry customers, this is a traveling position up to 85% of the year. Actual time on site may vary depending on project demands
    • Eligible to obtain any necessary International work visa
    • Must have a valid driver’s license
    • Able to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawings.
    • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills.
    • Must be familiar with industry related coatings applications systems of various style
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer other than your current employer
    • Language Skills: Fluent in English; and any other language is a plus.
    • Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    • Physical Demands: In the performance of duties for this position, the physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to electrical and moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools and machinery.  The employee must be aware of when to wear personal safety protective gear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds at any given time.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Frequent driving is required. 
    • Work Environment: Work site will vary from outside in the elements or in a shop environment. The noise level will vary from moderate to loud.  Employee will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
