    United Pipeline Systems Inc., is seeking Commercial Drivers with a Class A license to join our installation crew. As a driver for United Pipeline Systems, you are required to drive CMV vehicles to and from the Durango office and job sites in a safe manor, abiding to all DOT regulations and guidelines. Once our driver(s) reach a jobsite they become part of the installation crew until project completion at which time they will drive back to the UPS shop/facility in Durango, CO.

    • Must be 21 years of age to drive commercial vehicle across state lines and have minimum of two years’ experience of verifiable driving experience after age 21,
    • High school diploma or GED,
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals,
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds,
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and
    • Preferred candidates will have more education/experience.


    License Requirement

    • Class A/B Commercial Driver License with a MVR in good standings,
    • Ability to successfully complete a road test given or authorized by the Equipment Manager, and
    • Any incurred DUI violations within the last three years will not be accepted.

    Reasoning Skills: 

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Preemployment Testing/ Requirements:

    • Employment Background and MVR screening required,
    • Successful completion of a Drug and Alcohol screening is required, and
    • Successful completion of a Physical demands (POET) test is required.


    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • Physical Demands: In the performance of duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and taste or smell; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Ability for extended concentration.  Must be able to enter confirmed space and comply with safety policies.


    • Work Environment: In performing the duties for this job, the employee will generally work in outside weather conditions (at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations).  Employee will travel by Automobile and/or airplane to job site locations and be away from home office for long periods of time to complete required installation.  Average work week consists of 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. 


    • Work Location: This is a traveling position which requires employee to be on the road for long periods of time to complete required installation.  While traveling for United Pipeline, employees will receive an hourly wage, per diem and hotel accommodations.
