    Responsibilities

    • Develop, manage, and grow the Specialty Sales and major product service line business within the assigned territory.  
    • Manage the proposal and sales follow up process for the Specialty Sales and Major Product Lines.
    • Follow up and close proposals submitted to customers.
    • Work with the assigned Outside Sales Representatives to maximize revenue and profit for the region.
    • Develop and manage customer relationships.
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets for the assigned territory.
    • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel
    • Responsible for the timely preparation of quotations and proposals.
    • Provide weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships using ACES and/or designated program.
    • Develop new markets for the designated selling area.
    • Maintain sales log and track developments with customers and competitors within the territory.
    • Create and implement lead generation and qualification programs to expand market.
    • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer staff both internally and externally.
    • Remain current and report on market trends, competitive activity and product development
    • Maintain and manage blanket orders and contracts.
    • Work with marketing to promote specialty sales (ex…email blast) promotional items.
    • Work with manufacturing team to ensure drop shipments are invoiced for month end.
    • Work with manufacturing/procurement team to ensure lead times for products are quoted accordingly.
    • Assist A/R in collections, problem resolution and maintain knowledge of customer’s credit worthiness.
    • Provide demos for customers as required.
    • Make sales calls on accounts both new and current customers.
    • Address customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
    • Assist estimators and other departments regarding material questions/ pricing as required.
    • Handle material returns (RMA’s) and coordinate with manufacturing

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1-2 years sales experience in the energy and/or municipal markets, corrosion control/cathodic experience background preferred.
    • Working knowledge of the corrosion industry and related procedures, as well as education on industry regulations and policies preferred.
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with individuals at all levels in an organization.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.
    • ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.
    • Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently
    • Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
    • Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
    • Up to 25% travel required.
