    Insituform Technologies, LLC, an Aegion company, is looking for an experienced Product Manager of Pressure Pipe


    Insituform Technologies, LLC, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Insituform's businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods.


    The Product Manager – Pressure Pipe is responsible for the commercialization of new and related existing products to support company growth objectives. 

    • Act as the “face” of Aegion by marketing and promoting the benefits of pressure pipe rehabilitation practices to consulting engineers and agencies in the U.S. & Canada
    • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization and drive customer-focused product development
    • Actively participate in any/all standards committees and associations related to the rehabilitation of pressurized pipelines in potable and non-potable environments.
    • Collect/conduct market research to determine customer/market requirements.
    • Conduct and maintain competitive analyses
    • Create product design and commercialization schedule in coordination with R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Operations.
    • Ensure product development is in concert with Company stage-gate development processes.
    • Maintain regular communication with the marketing team to develop, monitor and measure marketing content.
    • Provide training to sales teams and channel partners on new product introductions.
    • Ensure CRM tools are used to track and report market activity and analyze results.
    • Ongoing coordination with Operations to measure financial results.
    • Provide regular marketing and financial reporting to key stakeholders for progress.
    • Developing and monitoring annual budgets.
    • May be responsible for two or more direct reports. Works indirectly with multiple departments and functions within the Company.

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or Engineering required.
    • 10+ years’ experience in marketing with involvement in product development.
    • Proven strong ability to lead teams and work collaboratively.
    • Ability to adapt communication styles based on audience priorities.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize on a continual basis.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Previous international experience preferred.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.
    • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently. Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position.  Strong inter-department collaborative skills are required.

    • Ability to motivate others and articulate direction.
    • Strong Leadership abilities. Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
    • Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required.
    • Experience with MS Project or other scheduling tools preferred.
    • Ability to maintain and ensure a safe work environment.

    • Work Environment: In performing the duties for this job, the employee will generally work in an office type environment but will occasionally be required to work in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations). Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.  Ability to travel up to 50% by automobile and airplane domestically and internationally required.
