    United Pipeline Systems (UPS) is seeking a Laborer or Equipment Operator for our facility located in Durango, CO.

    Responsibilities

    • Work on crew to install durable and reliable polyethylene pipe lining solutions for new and existing pipeline protection
    • Safely drive DOT equipment from Durango, CO office to client sites and back
    • Perform hands on labor tasks during installation of liner
    • Safely operate equipment including Truck Mounted Crane, Wireline Truck, Excavator, Crane, Backhoe, etc.
    • Maintain DOT regulations and guidelines
    • Interact with Field Superintendents to make recommendations on improvements to standard processes, tools and equipment.
    • Follow all safety procedures

     

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Must have a Class A or B Commercial Driver License
    • 2 years or more equipment operating and interstate CDL driving experience
    • Pipeline and /or General Construction experience
    • Experience operating truck mounted crane, wireline truck, excavator, crane, backhoe or industrial forklift
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 75 pounds as needed
    • Must be able to work 10 hours a day, 6 days per week.
    • Must be able to travel up to 10 weeks at a time - company provides per diem and paid hotel accommodations
    • Willing to successfully complete a road test given or authorized by the Equipment Manager
    • Must be able to pass a background check, MVR check, drug tests and pre-employment physical
