    Aegion Corporation is looking for an Organizational Development (OD) Specialist to join our team headquarted in Chesterfield, MO.

    The OD Specialist leads, plans, coordinates, and delivers company-wide solutions in the following areas, including but not limited to:  new employee onboarding, change management, leadership development, employee development, needs assessment, organizational and team effectiveness initiatives. The OD Specialist’s primary focus will be on leadership and employee development.


    • Manage assigned client portfolio of business, partnering closely with Human Resources colleagues and the senior leadership team to identify connections between strategic business goals and potential organizational development interventions.
    • Assist in developing and executing the Talent Management strategic and training plan.
    • Creates, plans, and implements talent strategies, standards, practices and tools that include one or more of the following disciplines
      • Talent Review and Assessment
      • Succession Planning
      • High Potential Identification and Development
      • Development Planning
      • Performance Management
      • Team Building
      • Leadership Assessment
      • Employee Engagement
      • Project Management
    • Research and identify industry best practices
    • Facilitate and provide training to various employee groups in alignment with the overall Talent Management strategic plan.
    • Project manage various talent management initiatives, such as employee engagement survey process and action planning.
    • Conduct learning and development needs analysis, assess training programs and refine as needed ensuring continuous improvement in L & D offerings.
    • Design and develop curriculum content, training materials, training modules, teaching aids to include, but not limited to: management and leadership and new technology systems.
    • Coordinate and facilitate the new employee orientation program. Serve as the Lead instructor, educating, guiding and coaching other facilitators.
    • Evaluates internal practices by gathering and analyzing data and working with HR Business Partners to identify organizational gaps.
    • Support learning council training and development activities, researching external organization development best practices.
    • Administers learning management system including course scheduling, enrollment, attendance tracking, reporting and content management.
    • Identifies and tracks key metrics to determine overall effectiveness of Talent Management initiatives.
    • Participates in the design/set-up of technology solutions that support Talent Management processes
    • Develop brochures, manuals, web sites for the talent management division.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Leadership, I/O Psychology, Organizational Effectiveness, or related subjects; Master's degree preferred.
    • 3+ years of relevant organizational development work experience.
    • Intermediate-to-advanced level knowledge of human resource practices.
    • Consulting and influencing skills to bring multiple stakeholders to agreement and advocacy.
    • Understanding of supporting technology to drive efficient and effective talent management processes.
    • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills with proven success working on and delivering multiple projects at once.
    • Ability to assume role as project lead.
    • Must act as a positive change agent and consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the environment
    • Strong learning orientation and mindset
    • Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, including establishing and tracking key metrics to determine overall effectiveness.
    • Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong ability to effectively navigate, present and connect with virtual audiences
    • Strong proficiency with online learning environments and software, e.g. Adobe captivate, Cisco WebEx Training Center, other virtual classroom formats, etc.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Requires a high level of service responsiveness to internal customers and partnership with HR colleagues.

    Working Conditions:

    • Office environment characterized by comfortable furnishings, adequate lighting and ventilation, minimal noise
    • Ability to travel approximately 25% of time.
