    Insituform Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Wetout Foreman.

    Responsibilities

    The Wet Out Foreman is responsible for overseeing the wet out facility.  This position is responsible for ensuring that quality requirements are met while working in a safe manner compliant with company policies and guidelines.  In this role, the individual is to ensure proper equipment and materials are in place, provide input and approval for changes in work procedures, and assisting with overall training needs for the wet out personnel.  Overall, this position is responsible for meeting customer demands of the production schedules while maintaining a quality product in a safe work environment.

     

    • Primary duties of this position are to help direct and plan the day to day activities of the plant’s production and logistics
    • Carries out and coordinates responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsible for overseeing the wet out production facility.
    • Personally, participate and assist in all wet out processes.
    • Ensure the safety of all employees and that all employees are following all safety practices implemented
    • Conduct daily safety training
    • Ensure that quality requirements are met while working in a safe manner compliant with company employment guidelines.
    • Conduct training and verify compliance of quality processes and procedures
    • Provide input and approval for changes in work procedures.
    • Operate within budget while minimizing cost.
    • Participate in afterhours rotation for wet out facility.
    • Field after hours calls for units at the wet out and drivers for pickup/deliver.
    • Plans and coordinates logistics activities, ensures trucks/tractors and equipment are in full DOT compliance and all systems are functioning properly.
    • Ensure proper equipment and materials are in place.
    • Complete bill of ladings for all loads and ensure that all vehicles contain proper documentation.
    • Assists in unloading of resin, chemicals, dry tube and other materials. Receives material into the computer system.
    • Receive all resin, chemicals, liners and materials in computer system.
    • Conduct inventory cycle counts and coordinate with wet out administrator to maintain an accurate inventory of materials.
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts for facility equipment. 
    • Manage consumable supplies and tools.
    • Completes all production paperwork by documenting production details.
    • Data inputs these details into JDE for processing and shipment of materials.
    • Meet demands of the production schedules by ensuring facility is properly staffed and adequate supervision is in place at all times.
    • Records and tracks various production metrics (downtime, First pass yield).
    • Continuously improves methods, processes, and facilities to raise productivity, improve return on investment, and achieve lower costs with full regard for the health, safety, and well-being of employees.
    • Identifies and implements best practices including ISO 9000 and Six Sigma systems to achieve manufacturing excellence throughout the facility. Monitors production output and quality data.
    • Assist with overall development and training needs for the wet out personnel to improve skill level, involvement, value, and morale.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Qulifications:

    • High School diploma or GED required
    • Must have 1-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing type environment.
    • Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within our industry.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal history background check
    • Previous experience as Construction Laborer or Installation Technician
    • Must be a self-starter
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
    • Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. 
    • Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required

    Physical Demands:

    • Regularly required to sit, talk and hear
    • Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
    • Required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arm
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally, with assistance of others, lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

    Work Environment:

    • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts inside a manufacturing facility, as well as working outside in all weather conditions (at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations)
    • Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
    • Travel by automobile and airplane, as required.
